The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst with experience in quality assurance and testing. This role will focus on ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and quality of data across all stages of the data lifecycle, with a particular emphasis on analyzing and validating data outputs. The successful candidate will be responsible for data validation, functional testing, and developing automation for ongoing QA processes. As a key member of the team, you'll be instrumental in performing data analysis, validating ETL outputs, conducting functional testing, and developing automated test scripts. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a cutting-edge Carbon Planning & Intelligence platform, helping global enterprises manage their emissions and achieve their sustainability goals through a desktop web application.
Your qualifications and experience
Must haves
- Strong data analysis skills with 3+ years of experience in SQL and data manipulation
- Proven experience in quality assurance, with a focus on data validation and functional testing
- Proficiency in writing automated tests using languages like Python or JavaScript
- Strong understanding of database systems and reporting tools
- Experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Solid understanding of web application testing methodologies
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with AWS services
- Familiarity with databases such as RDS, Dynamo, PostgreSQL, Aurora, or ClickHouse
- Knowledge of ETL processes and tools like Apache Airflow or DBT
- Experience with TypeScript, ReactJS, Next.js, or Node.js
- Familiarity with Tableau Cloud for reporting
- Basic understanding of performance and load testing concepts
