The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a full-stack TypeScript developer on a contract basis to join their team in building an innovative decentralized marketplace. This project connects producers of onchain computing resources with consumers, aiming to revolutionize the way blockchain resources are utilized.
As a key member of a small, dynamic team, you'll be working directly with the CTO to enhance and expand an existing MVP. Your focus will be on polishing, refactoring, and improving the architecture of both the front-end React application and back-end Node services. You'll also be instrumental in adding new features to drive the project towards its V1 release by the end of the year.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology in the Web3 space, with the potential for long-term engagement based on project needs and your performance.
Your qualifications and experience
Must haves
- Extensive experience with TypeScript, React, Node.js, and PostgreSQL
- Strong proficiency in full-stack development, with a focus on web applications
- Experience with modern web development tools and frameworks, including pnpm, Next.js, and Chakra UI
- Familiarity with RESTful API design and implementation using Express.js
- Solid understanding of database interactions, preferably with TypeORM
- Proven track record of refactoring and optimizing existing codebases
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to architect scalable solutions
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a remote, collaborative environment
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Web3 technologies, particularly viem, wagmi, and Rainbow Kit
- Familiarity with blockchain data indexing and querying
- Knowledge of decentralized systems and marketplaces
- Experience with long-running worker processes and background jobs
- Understanding of smart contract interactions (though not required to write smart contracts)
